Hey everyone, it’s been a crazy summer and it hasn’t even started yet. We drove out to the Arroyo Seco river in the Ventana Wilderness for some cliff jumping insanity. We camped at the Arroyo Seco Campground operated by Rocky Mountain Recreation, woke up early and spent the day hiking, swimming and jumping. Water was super deep at some of the holes, others it was barely overhead. Corbin and Skorch held it down jumping the 65 footer and other outrageous jumps. Check the video and see what it’s all about.
Driving Directions: From LA take the 101 north to Greenfield, take the Arroyo Seco exit into town. Make a left turn on Elm St. Go west to Arroyo Seco Road and turn left; campground is at the end of Arroyo Seco Road. From the bay, take the 101 south just pass Soledad. Go west to Arroyo Seco Road and turn left; campground is at the end of Arroyo Seco Road.
Hiking Directions: Follow signs in the campground for The Gorge. Park at the sign for the Sana Lucia Trail, hike 2 miles to a very small bridge and immediately take the first spur trail down to the water. Upstream is the best hole. Take some toobs and spend the entire day floating back to your car. Bring a crap ton of water or a filter, also bring beer and snaxxx.
