DEEP CREEK HOT SPRINGS 10 1-2 11
Spent the weekend at Deep Creek Hot Springs out in Apple Valley. We drove in to Bowen Ranch after stopping to eat lunch at Baker’s. We hiked down to the creek and had a few hours of sunlight left so we went up stream and did a little cliff jumping. Afterward we soaked then camped. We woke up early to soak again.
When the sun came out from behind the clouds we cliff jumped some more. Chrons, thongs and shlongs, all in a healthy weekend here at Los Angeles Swimmin.
Directions: Take the 210 East from LA to the 15 North. Exit Bear Valley road and go right (East). Right on Central, Left on Ocotillo, RIght on Bowen Ranch Road. Drive on the dirt road till it ends at the ranch. Pay the man and park at the end of the parking lot. Hike down the canyon, get lost, cry, then follow some other people who know the way. Get naked, party and don’t forget to pack out all your garbage.
How many times did you guys have to jump to get that last picture….lol
hahaha, we jumped twice. the other one didnt come out so well.
I seen one of you at Deep Creek. We was covered in the mineral mud and he said ‘that’s racist!’

Thanks man. Signing on now.
this has been on my bucket list for years. YEARS.
Have you been up to the Sequoia National Forest – specifically the Wishon area? Rock slides, cliff jumping, deep pools. Sounds right up your alley. We just posted a little bit about it: http://papasponcho.blogspot.com/2012/05/peppermint-campground-sequoia-national.html
We have not been up to the Wishon area but we have been to a few places in sequoia. check out our sequoia posts: devils slide, fish camp falls etc.
