STODDARD FALLS AND SOME EXTRAS

Took a trip to Stoddard Falls a month ago and just got the film developed. Sorry it took so long but i am a lazy mexican so bite it. Got a tip from David Squall about Stoddard so we went and checked it out but, alas, no cliff jumping. Looks like the pools were silted in. Seems to be the big problem with alot of our spots this year. Probably Obamas fault. Well we did find a nice camping spot along the way with tons of awesome (crappy) graffiti and a rope swing (non water) we swung on the rope swing but did not camp. After we got back from the falls we sat in the creek next to the parking spot and cooled off, so the trip was not a total failure. Also in this set is some pix of Throb and Deep Float on a bike trip to the Marina. There is a nice daisy field and they ran around and took some pix in there. And the last photo is Throb’s AWESOME new ride, the 75 K5 Blazer he drove back from Portland OR last month. Directions to Stoddard Falls are as follows: 210 E exit Mountain rd. go left. drive till you find the fire station on the right where the road begins to turn and ascend the Mountain. Then backtrack 0.2 miles to a small turnout on the left. You will see a sign for the trailhead and a small bridge where the creek leaves the canyon. Hike about 45 min upstream to the bottom of the lower falls. There is a rope to head up to the upper falls or you can go around the left side of the falls and climb up the crag, either way it sucks. On top of these falls you can hike up to another set of falls doing the same thing. Go as far as you feel safe. Enjoy the photos.
