CEDAR CREEK FALLS 4 2 10
Spent the night on Eagle Peak. Woke up next morning ate some breakfast and went to the falls. Tons of people on the trail, even some dick-ass hunters shooting at some quail. Glad they didn’t catch anything. Hike in was very easy, hike back out… not so fun. Felt good on a warm spring morning but I can only imagine what it feels like in 90 degree summer weather. The falls were roaring but the water level was really low. It was about 6 feet in the deepest spot. Wanted to jump the big one on the right side but the water was about 3 feet deep over there. Still had lots of fun. Tons of people brought their dogs, they all got along well.
Directions:
From the town of Julian head to Pine Hills road and drive south. Go 1.5 miles to Eagle Peak road and turn right. Then go 1.4 miles and stay right to continue on Eagle Peak Rd. Drive about 8 miles to the end of the road. Park and take the trail heading west or just follow the signs. Don’t forget your Forest Adventure Pass. 2.5 miles in you will hit another trail, go left on this trail then about 10 min and 2 creek crossings you will get to the base of the falls. Jump in and be safe. Images from Throb and Throb’s dad.

Your photos are AMAZING. I live in SCV and I have only been to Malibu Creek. Been dying to find some better jumping spots. Creek Falls Looks badass !!!
this place is now illegal to hike into. some kid dies a month ago and they have closed it off, the fine is supposedly $2000
Just wondering have you hit up box canyon in carlsbad, ca? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24_wIqqaqy4 I heard its illegal but I want to check it out and haven’t seen it on your site. Theres also a place in la jolla with a few spots http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgL_zvO-nMw . Im also trying to find stuff maybe on palomar mountain and san jacinto, havent seen anywhere from there on your website, you found anythng good?
Havent been to box canyon but heard it is a total bust, everyone gets tickets every time. That place is called the clam in La Jolla, also illegal but easier to jump without getting caught. There is a super sick spot on palomar but again very illegal. We went last year and one of us ended up with a trespassing ticket. Most of the spots are already dry this year. We got about 10% of average rainfall so nothing is full anymore. Ocean is the best bet, hit up the Corona Del Mar spot.
